About WordPress Icons
WordPress Icons is the icon library of the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg), with 345 icons maintained by the WordPress contributors and licensed GPL-2.0-or-later. It includes the icons for core blocks (pullquote, verse, media and text, page break, query pagination, post featured image, post comments form, shortcode, breadcrumbs, accordion) and the editor controls around them: heading levels, justification, axial and side spacing, submenus and plugin screens. Icons sit on a 24px grid and use the current text color. The @wordpress/icons npm package exports each icon as data plus an Icon component, so a block or plugin can render <Icon icon={check} /> and match core editor controls exactly. GPL-2.0-or-later is a copyleft license: distributing software that includes these icons brings GPL terms, which is normal for WordPress plugins and themes but worth checking for closed-source apps. Search all WordPress icons here, copy SVG, export JSX or download PNG. Compared with a general set like Lucide, this pack is the right match for anything inside the block editor. Ideal for custom blocks, block themes and plugin settings screens.
